YOUR BUSINESS, CLEARLY PRESENTED

Your business has grown.
Has your website kept up?

A potential customer may arrive with just one question: can you help me? Your website should make the answer easy to find, whether they are on a phone between jobs or comparing providers at home.

Hard to use on a phone?

Readable text, comfortable buttons and a sensible page layout help visitors find what they need without pinching, guessing or getting lost.

Services are hard to understand?

Explain what you do, who you help and where you work. Give each important service enough detail to support an informed enquiry.

An outdated first impression?

Use accurate business details, relevant photos and genuine evidence of your work. A consistent design helps customers understand who they are contacting.

WHAT WE WORK ON

A useful website,
from the first page onward.

Design, content and practical foundations work together to help visitors understand your business and take the next step.

01

Structure around your customers

Plan the pages around your main services and the questions customers ask. Keep navigation clear so people can move from an overview to the detail that matters to them.

Page plan · service clarity · navigation

02

Readable on every screen

Adapt layouts for phones, tablets and larger screens. Use clear headings, comfortable text sizes and visible buttons, with particular attention to the contact journey on mobile.

Mobile layouts · readable text · clear actions

03

Content that sounds like you

Explain your services in plain language, using your actual experience and business information. Include genuine photos and proof where available, with a clear request for anything you need to supply.

Service copy · business details · real evidence

04

Easy calls and enquiries

Place phone and email options where visitors need them. Agree any enquiry form requirements, the information to collect and who will receive and respond to those messages.

Click to call · email · enquiry planning

05

Sound foundations

Build with sensible page structure, descriptive titles and useful image descriptions. Review loading behaviour, keyboard access, colour contrast and important tasks on common devices before handover.

Accessibility · loading · search foundations

06

A practical handover

Discuss the website platform, editing needs and ongoing responsibilities before the build. Agree account ownership, access, licences and what training, maintenance or future updates are included.

Editable content · ownership · support scope

A website that needs to work harder?

Tell us where visitors get stuck and which services matter most. We can discuss the changes worth prioritising.

A PRACTICAL BUILD PROCESS

Start with your business.
Build around your customers.

A clear brief helps everyone understand what the website needs to do and how we will know it is ready.

01

Agree the purpose and scope

Discuss your services, audience, budget and current website. Set out the pages, required features, content responsibilities and review stages before design begins.

02

Review the design and content

Work through the page structure and visual direction together. Check that the wording is accurate, the services are easy to understand and the important contact routes are visible.

03

Check, hand over and plan ahead

Review key pages and contact actions on mobile and desktop. Agree launch responsibilities, access and support arrangements, then explain how content updates will be handled.

EVERYDAY CUSTOMER JOURNEYS

Make the important
things easy to do.

A website should be useful in everyday situations. We review the journeys that matter to your business, from finding a service to making contact. If measurement is included, we agree what to track and explain the limits of the available data.

  • Can customers understand your main services?
  • Can they find your coverage and business details?
  • Can they call or email without searching?

Clear about the design, unsure about the upkeep?

Let’s talk through editing, account access and ongoing care before you commit to a build.

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Understand the design process, what you can edit and how ownership and ongoing care will work.

Can you improve my existing website?

Often, yes. We first review your current site, access and editing options. We then discuss whether targeted changes or a new build would better meet your needs, with a clear scope before work starts.

Which platform will my website use?

We agree the platform after discussing your pages, features, editing needs, budget and support requirements. We explain relevant tradeoffs and ongoing costs before committing to a particular setup.

Will I be able to edit the content?

We discuss what you want to update and how often. Editable areas, access and any handover guidance should be agreed in the scope so you know what you can manage and when support may be needed.

Who owns the website and accounts?

We agree ownership and access before the project begins, including the domain, hosting, website assets and accounts. Any third-party licences or restrictions should be made clear in the proposal and handover.

Does web design include SEO and maintenance?

Basic search foundations can be included in the build. Ongoing SEO, hosting, updates, backups and maintenance have separate responsibilities and costs that we discuss explicitly. A new design alone does not guarantee rankings or enquiries.

What do you need from me to start?

Your existing website, main services, target areas and goals are a useful start. We will also discuss your logo, photos, business details, available content and the person who will review and approve the work.
